I’m Megan. I’m a self-proclaimed coffee junkie and always have a box of Altoids on me. When I’m not working I enjoy recreational organizing, spontaneous adventures and exploring forgotten nooks of used bookstores. Bike rides, scratchy records and live jazz make me swoon, and I have my library card number memorized (26086…). I love photography and all types of design and constantly find myself dog-earring pages and collecting images that inspire me.
I recently graduated from Drake University in Des Moines with degrees in journalism and anthropology. Now I live and work in Iowa’s capital, where I’m the Des Moines editor of Silicon Prairie News, a tech-news startup covering all things startup in the Silicon Prairie.
I’ve always loved writing so naturally I’m blogging along the way, as I figure out what it means to work for a startup and learn how to be a “grown-up.” Read about all of my adventures off the clock on my blog, Olio in Iowa.
